Free Packed Lunch During Half Term

Iqra Supplementary School and Youth Provision based at Aaina Community Hub will be providing lunch for children living in the locality and service users who are entitled to free school lunch next week. Please contact us via our inbox, on 01922 644006 between 10.00 am and 3.00 pm over the weekend and every day next week if you need our support.

 

Aaina Has Purchased the Women’s Centre Premises!

We are delighted to announce that we have purchased the Women’s Centre building located on Bath Road for the Aaina Community Hub Charity, a female-led charity that has been delivering services from the site since 1997. After lengthy negotiations with the sellers and support by the National Community Lottery Fund, we are proud to have purchased a building to continue delivering life-enhancing services for women and their children in Walsall.

We would like to thank the Aaina Executive Board for both their vision and decision to purchase the building enabling the Women’s organization to become empowered and self-sufficient. Maureen Lewis, Ruth Burgess, Zara Shaikh, Shehnaz Ismail, Pardip Lally, Insha Yasin, Mrs Jas Thandi, Sylvia Dembedza, Mumtaz Begum, Pamy Sandhu.

 On this momentous occasion, we would also like to honour all the women who have over the last 25 years contributed and developed Aaina services, who selflessly devoted their time to improve the lives of women in Walsall and their families.  Aaina will continue with its mission to create a truly self-sustaining and empowering space for Women and their families in Walsall and will continue providing services that raise aspirations and achievements leading to positive changes to Walsall women and their families’ lives and environment.

We Are Back

Aaina Community Hub will partially re-open on Monday 4th May from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm to provide the following wellbeing and crisis services via telephone, email and online platforms;
*Social welfare Information, advice and support
*Job Search and Employment Support
*Domestic Abuse Support & Respite
*Mental Well Being Support, befriending
The Hub will not be open to the general public to access, staff will be contactable via telephone on 01922 644006, email at info@aainahub.com and virtual platforms (details to follow).
We know this has been a difficult time for our members, we have been listening, and are developing services to respond in the best way possible to meet the needs of women and their children who require our support during this challenging time. Centre Closure Due to Covid 19
